Prithvi has spent the past nearly ten years working in marine insurance and currently is a Manager at Gulf Ocean International Insurance Brokers LLC in Dubai. With a background that includes a master’s degree in risk management from the University of Nottingham and a bachelor’s in business administration from Christ University, Bangalore, he is drawn to understanding how insurance shapes and supports the marine industry.

Along the way, he has pursued professional qualifications—including becoming a Chartered Insurance Broker, an ACII holder from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK , and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India—while also completing certifications from the International Group of P&I Clubs. Rather than seeing these as endpoints, Prithvi views them as stepping stones in his ongoing journey to deepen his understanding of marine insurance and risk management.

What excites him most today is the opportunity to keep learning from peers, industry leaders, and real-world challenges—exploring how complex risks are managed and how innovative solutions are shaping the future of marine and broader insurance.
