Lia Konstantopoulou is the Marine Director at City Marine Insurance Brokers LLC, one of the MENA region’s leading specialist marine insurance brokers. A maritime lawyer and ACII-qualified insurance professional, she has over a decade of international experience across the London Insurance Market and the Middle East, combining legal expertise with technical marine insurance knowledge and commercial leadership.

Throughout her career, Lia has held positions with leading organisations including Travelers, Northern Lloyd and the London P&I Club, specialising in complex marine claims and insurance solutions across Hull & Machinery, Protection & Indemnity, Marine Liabilities, War Risks, Ports & Terminals and related specialty risks. In her current role, she leads the Marine Division and advises shipowners, charterers, terminal operators, cargo owners and traders on marine risk management, insurance programme design and complex claims, bringing a practical perspective that bridges legal, technical and commercial considerations.
