Divas Panjwani is a Chartered Insurer ACII, Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII), and Senior Associate of ANZIIF, with over 12 years of focused experience in marine (re)insurance underwriting. He is a graduate of the esteemed National Insurance Academy, India, holding a Master’s degree with specialisations in Insurance, Risk Management, and Finance.

He specialises in underwriting and portfolio development of marine insurance lines, particularly Marine Hull, War, P&I, and Marine Liability risks across prominent global markets including Europe, Asia-Pacific, South America, and the GCC region.

He commenced his career with India’s national reinsurer, where he underwrote international treaty and facultative reinsurance business. Building on this solid foundation, he broadened his experience through direct marine underwriting roles in Oman before progressing to regional portfolio management with a leading Kuwait-based reinsurer. In this capacity, he adeptly managed a diverse Marine International Hull and Liability portfolio spanning the United Kingdom, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, while forging strategic partnerships with brokers and cedants worldwide.

At Emirates Insurance Company, he manages the underwriting and growth of marine insurance and international reinsurance portfolios across the GCC and global markets. His approach combines rigorous technical underwriting discipline with keen commercial insight, driving sustainable portfolio growth, robust risk mitigation, and enduring client and broker relationships.
