Ben Marsh is Chaucer’s Class Underwriter for Cyber in the Middle East, based in Dubai, with responsibility for the underwriting and growth of Cyber, Technology E&O and Media Liability business across the region.
A recognised cyber insurance specialist, Ben combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to help organisations navigate an increasingly complex cyber threat landscape. He works closely with brokers, clients and industry partners to structure innovative risk transfer solutions and build long-term strategic relationships across the Middle East.
Prior to joining Chaucer, Ben served in the British Army and UK Government, leading teams and delivering complex programmes in high-pressure and sensitive environments. His background spans cyber security, intelligence, risk management and strategic planning, developed through operational deployments to Afghanistan, a secondment to the UK Cabinet Office, leadership roles supporting the London 2012 Olympic Games security operation, and the delivery of major international infrastructure projects.
Known for his ability to translate complex cyber and geopolitical risk into practical underwriting decisions, Ben is passionate about developing talent, fostering strong partnerships and supporting the continued evolution of the cyber insurance market.
