Mr. Athanasios Polychronopoulos is the Founder and the CEO of Polygreen and EVOGREEN LLC UAE, leading global companies in circular economy initiatives, specialising in reliable and cost-effective waste management, emergency response and marine pollution control services. His professional life is inextricably linked to the environment. Throughout his successful, more than 20-year career, he has managed some of the most demanding and technically challenging environmental projects worldwide, including the Just Go Zero Project, which established Tilos as the world’s first certified zero-waste island. 

Since 2015, Mr. Polychronopoulos has been a member of the SEV Business Council for Sustainable Development (SEV BCSD). 

As an avid supporter of the Arts, in 2014, Mr. Polychronopoulos founded Polygreen Culture & Art Initiative (PCAI), a non-profit organisation which aims to raise environmental awareness through art. 

Mr. Polychronopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration and Management of the University of Piraeus and has attended business administration and management seminars at Stanford University and Harvard.
